Red X Blue

Hello. I'm making my comeback in my blog once again. I've missed a lot of action and most important, I missed everyone. Since, I'm busy with my school life and there's nothing special about it, maybe I would be sharing for a while my inspiration outfits and my wishlist; hoping that I could buy them, so I could add them in my closet pieces. :D hehe.

Anyway, Here's my first inspiration style for the month of October. Ever since, I really wanted to have my own red pants and I wanted to use it with a two-toned button down long sleeves polo. Then, jazz it up with studded leather bracelets and red wayfarers. 

What I love about this look is,  its really relaxing and great for weekend getaway or for Friday night strolling with friends. Finally, I want a pair of loafers, and seriously, It might just be stripped off in the hot list and yet I still don't have my own pair. I felt that I'm so "2000 and late"  Geez.

I am hoping that I will be able to save enough money to purchase not all but few of them. Especially the jacket and the desk lamp. I really need and want them so bad. :D hahaha

Denim Lab

Denim is not a new trend for men and it is certainly making its way on top. The ripped style have been out of season for quite sometime and now, everything makes it more stylish and modern. With denim, it never gets boring and out-of-style. Apart from it, its comfortable, light and easy to wear with almost everything. May it be all denim outfits, denim jackets or denim shoes, it will surely make you look great and fab.  Especially now that it comes with different color this season from the classic blue to rust denim, then it will be a perfect choice for you.

What I'm wearing: denim jacket (Mom's Closet), black shorts sleeves buttons up (GTQS), stripes belt (Bench), skinny jeans (Abercrombie) and combat boots (Dad's Closet).

Urgh. I look so retarded with the photos. hahaha. Anyway, Don't be afraid to wear an all denim outfit because this look got a lot of good feedback this season. Take care always and always be fab. :D

Firmoo

Hello Guys! I know classes have started for some, while others are yet to start so good luck on your first day of classes and I wish everyone for a wonderful academic year. 

Anyway, I had a good way to start the month of June because I am pretty sure that sooner or later I'll be stressing out so much because of school works and cases; that is why I just wanna share how happy I am since I already got my packages last Saturday (June 09, 2012).

After getting a call from the post office, I immediately went to the office and got the package. Unfortunately, they charged me a Php 40.00 Customs fee, which I find it very unusual because over the phone they told me that they are not going to charge me anymore. I just settled the account so I wouldn't stay long in the post office.

Here is the content of the package: Two Firmoo glasses which I got online for only  $18.95 (but I only paid for $2.95 dollars because of the $16 Discount). Also, I would like to thank Nivek Zeuqracne's give away, because of that I was chosen to be one of the lucky winner of the $20 Discount Coupon.  Check it out here.

 The Firmoo glasses were actually made and shipped from China. But It took only less than a week to arrive. This is just what you call fast and reliable service!! It was just amazing. Plus, Aside from the hard case, Firmoo also gave me a pouch, a pocket screwdriver and extra screws. 

I got myself two Wayfarer Glasses with two different colors. The first one is White which I actually gave to my close friend and my self-proclaimed twin Mae Ablao. 

While the second pair of glasses is which I own. I chose this because I just adore the color, which is Yellow and It really looks nice on me.

Battlefield

Last Saturday, I had a fun shoot with one of my closest friend Mae Ablao of Classy Rugged Chic. Mae would probably be my alter ego; we just share a lot of likes and interest. One of which is our passion for arts, travel and fashion. I remember before our college graduation, we promised that after passing the board exam, we'll study fashion in Manila and will venture in the fashion industry. Apparently, I was the first one to break our promise since I decided to pursue Law. 

I really wanted to wear something military-inspired. Luckily, I don't need to buy my combat boots, because they were just handed down to me by my dad, who is a Retired Philippine Air Force.

What I'm wearing: tank top (Alstyle), cargo pants (Penshoppe), combat shoes, studded leather bracelet (Mix and Match) and insect and skull rings (Mix and Match).

Summer is over.

Its back to the reality.

Tank Tops

It has been quite so long since I have my last update; I just want to apologize for being a way for more than two weeks. It has been a busy and stressful, because of readings and case digests that we have to make for school. So much for this, it’s already March and that means we have one more month to go before summer! Are you ready for your summer attire? If not, this might help you.

Summer is now approaching and the heat is scourging our comfort, lose the sleeves and be comfortable. Bare some skin and flaunt those muscles and be sexy and hot.

Look 1: Green Sheep

If you wanna be casual and you just want to stay cool during the day, this look would be nice for you. I personally would love to wear this look during mall-ing, joyrides or during an ordinary day with my friends. This look has some softness to the look even apart from being edgy and rugged.

Look 2: Sail to me

If you are thinking of having a cruise or sailing in the Caribbean with style, this is for you. Its just all about colors, freshness and comfort. This is one easy way how to welcome summer. And if you are not comfortable from baring some skin, no worries, you can wear a jacket or blazer with it and spice it up with some a scarf. Accessorize it with the trending straw hat and a nice watch.

Look 3: On the go

You remember this look? This was actually on one of my earlier blogs, feauturing one of my shoe addictions of Boots. You can read it on Boot Camp. This is good for walking and for night outs. This is also good for University look, especially for those universities that doesn't require any school uniforms or those with no dress codes.

Look 4: Prepped for night

This look is for night outs, or gig. If you wanna dash the night away with style and move like a swagger on the dance floor, then this would probably the look for you. What I love about this look is its preppy and smart looking. I can see myself wearing this on weekdays for a meeting or during work or for those time when I'm loaded with work during day and party during night.

Look 5: Rock my World

This look is actually good for music lovers, dancers and for those who are inclined in a more street style. This is one of the typical style you can see in foreign countries, more likely in Manila. I just love the look, since its exudes more masculinity in the person and its really gives him t he swag. Its really cool and minimalistic in style. With your dark or black jeans, you can be fashionable by pairing it up with a high-vut sneakers and tank top. 

Look 6: Laid Back

The look is really for those people who wanna be laid back and comfortable, even a day of walking and work. The Mandals, also known as Men's Sandals or Men's Gladiator Sandals, gives the more edgy look for this minimal look. hence, the neutrality of colors, gives a more sensible style. I actually see myself wearing  this during city tours in Cebu or in Manila. A day of walking and roaming around the city will most likely make your feet hurt, and one way to relieve your feet from stress and pain, without sacrifing your style and fashion, wear Mandals. :D

Look 7: Bike Rider

The Name of this set is self-explanatory. Ever since, I learned driving motorbikes, it has really gave me the obsession on big bikes. Wearing leather pants are actually too much common, so to step your style one or more steps more, try wearing a colored pants like this one and pair it with those traditional sensible pieces like leather and black color. What I love about this look is that its my personality and it has studs, which I really love. :D Hahahaha. :))

Oxygen Swagger

Its has been almost a week now since I had my last blog post and I never realized how time flies so fast. I just hate the feeling that every time we need to study or do something important, time runs so fast; but when we are in class, time seems to slow. Right? haha. Anyway, sorry if I wasn't able  to update my blog for the past days, I've been busy with school. I never expected that Law will be this hard. :(

Every time I see this photo, the first thing that pops into my mind is Vampire and Twilight. haha.

The forest feel and the black polo gives me the idea of Twilight Saga.

Is it me or this look has the Twilight-ish appeal?? haha Weid much.

The Black polo was actually a gift from a good friend of mine, before he left for Cebu. :D

Moving on, just this week, Oxygen in collaboration with Status Magazine, announced a great news to all Oxygen lovers and fashionistas. They are scouting two fashion-forward interns to help them this summer with go sees, styling and (of course) Philippine Fashion Week 2012. However, you have to be the best among the rest in order to work with the best fashion crew. To know more details, see below:

I really wanted to join Experience Oxygen: Be an Oxygen Fashion Intern challenge since I've been a great fan of Oxygen. However, I felt really sad when I found out that I need to be in Manila in the month of March to May, which is impossible, since I would still be having classes by March and by third week of April, I need to go home since my Summer English Classes will start by that time. I hate the feeling that as if my heart was torn into pieces. It was a chance to be part of a prestigious fashion machine and to meet them in person would be a dream come true.:(  But I wish all those people who are joining this challenge and I hope to see your works soon. Good luck to all you Oxygen Fashionistas. Hopefully, we could see each other in Philippine Fashion week 2012.

Row my Boat

One of my friend and co-blogger Patricia Anastacio, owner of Oneirophrenia|the misadventure of of trish in the clogged arteries of medschool, from Zamboanga Bloggers asked me if what is my take on boat shoes. Today, I'll be sharing with you guys what I think about Boat Shoes. I'll also be sharing what I love about it.

What I think of Boat Shoes?

             Boat shoes are typically canvas or leather with non-marking soles designed for use on boat. A siping (rubber) pattern is cut into the soles to provide a grip on a wet deck or over ice; the leather construction, along with oil application, is designed to repel water (Wikipedia). Boat shoes are actually one of the classical ensemble,which during my younger years I never loved no imagine to have. For what reason? Because during the past, boat shoes come in neutral colors, which I find them to be dull and boring. 

              Now, I thank the person behind the innovative idea of producing bright and colorful boat shoes, because I find them cool, especially it caters all ages and generation. The new colorful colors makes boat shoes look young, fresh and frenzy. Hence, Its one of the classic collection, which every man should have.

Below, I created 4 inspirational looks which I personally love to wear with boat shoes. Remember, the super-star for this collection is the BOAT SHOES. So here are 4 different ways how to rock your style:

First Look: I named this set as SCHOOL BOY. I find this getup perfect for wash day or for certain universities which does not require students to wear uniform. What I love about this look is its easy, comfortable and sleek. To achieve this smart and cool get-up you may use: Neutral button down shirt, khaki beige pants, brown belt, varsity jacket, neutral leather rucksack and of course your favorite boat shoes. Isn't it easy to look smart and stay cool, even with the use of Boat Shoes? :) 

Second Look: I name this look as BLUE CUES. If you are looking for a get-up which you may use for work, night out  or weekend travel, this get up is perfect for you. Its not that over the top and its not that boring. You may also wear the blazer if you want to be more formal or you may use it when you are in meetings or business negotiations, or you may also opt not to use it. What I love about this look is its really fresh to look at, since its blue and cool for the yes. To achieve this, you may use: White button down tee, blue khaki pants, leather blue strap watch, leather weekend bag, shades, blazer and your favorite Boat Shoes

Third Look: I call this look as MY FIRST DATE. Here is one simple way to wear Boat Shoes for your date. I chose this simple ensembles, so that you won't be over the top or you won't look overly dressed for you date. Just keep it cool and not to much. To achieve this, you may use: two-toned long sleeves sweater, dark denim or black leather pants, two inverted triangle necklace, leather wrist strap and your favorite Boat shoes. Its really simple and you need not to worry much. Just bring you swagger and attitude with you and you will surely have a perfect date.

For my final and fourth inspiration: I call this CRUISE WITH ME. This is perfect for Summer, and outing. If you wanna look chic and stylish during vacation you could have this inspiration. This is one of my favorite inspirations because its really on-the-go feel and young appeal. To achieve this look, you may use: Blue long sleeves sweater, beige boyfriend shorts or long swimwear shorts, natural straw hat, triangle pendant necklace, blue-green watch, light blue shades and your favorite boat shoes.

Boot Camp

Hello Guys! I was supposed to post this last night but my Internet Connection was crappy. *buhoo. 

Anyway, I have this new obsession on shoes, specifically on boots. Why? Because of the following reasons: (1) they are taking to new heights in fashion, (2) it has more room for fun and flare and (3) they have this certain hardcore/bad-ass appeal, which can rock you get-up or styling. I have been wanting to have them, but  I can't find any good pair here in our place, hence, we got few shoe stores, which eventually do not sell them.

Here is one way how to rock your boots: you can actually wear a long sleeves knit wear, which is actually trending nowadays, then pair it with a cargo pants or a khaki pants. Then you have too options: whether to use a long-length socks, which would give you a more stylish and edgy look, with your boots or just wear the boots without the socks. Finally, you can have add a watch and few bracelets. You can also wear it with a jacket if you want,especially if its cold or you're travelling.

Another way to rock your boots is by having this urban and street style, which is more of a rugged and bad boy appeal. How? By wearing a Tank top, then short pants (For me: I like shorter length of shorts to make your legs look longer and I like a slimmer shorts so not to make it more stylish and not baggy  and too rugged). Then long-length socks (any color, as long as it compliments with the look) with your boots. Then, accessorize it with a watch, bracelet and bag pack or sack. Finally, you can wear it with a blazer or cardigan if you want not to show more skin. The second look is actually nice for travelling and for summer. Just play with colors and mix and match of different items and clothing.

Be bold and loud with your style.

Don't be afraid to express what you feel.

Just be sure, you won't be a clown and you won't be part of the cirque du soLAME.

How's your day guys? I hope you had fun. If you'll ask me, I do had fun bonding with my family. It was worth remembering, my mom and I went to "Magay" to look for sensible and cool stuffs. Unfortunately, I haven't found what I'm looking for, though I bought two items. I'll be sharing them tomorrow. As for now, I'll be sharing my new design collections. :) hehe

Last time, I said that I won't be posting designs anymore, because my friend told me that people might use my ideas and that would be unfair on my part; which I reflected upon and agreed that he was right. Anyway, I remember that I made a promise to make a collection for men. Sorry, if this is quite delayed, it actually slipped off my mind and almost forgot about it. 

Without further ado. Here are my NEW personal designs.

Before anything else, sorry for the poor coloring, I don't have any Adobe Illustrator so these are all hand-made. :) Next time, I promise for a cleaner and more beautiful work. *PEACE

First Look: This is a  Red 3/4 Polo shirt overlapped with the Black short-proportioned hoodie, then paired with black skinny jeans.

 Okay, so this isn't my favorite and I was disappointed on how it looked like.

Second Look: Yellow V-neck Tee and Blue mid-rib proportioned hoodie, while the bottom is a Red Harem Pants.

I wanted to add an Orange Circle on the lower right of the shirt to give a visual effect but I though that it would look like a rainbow if I'll add another color to my design. What do you think? Should I put the circle on it?

3rd Look: a Black with Gray Leather Jacket, Green V-neck Tee and Blue boyfriend shorts.

Among the four, this would be one of my favorites. I love boyfriend shorts and in reality, I really wanted to have a similar jacket I designed. :))

Last but not the least, An Electric Blue Asymmetrical Top with a Gray short-proportioned Blazer and a Pink Skinny Pants

This would be my favorite among all the designs. :) I love the boldness of its color and the preppy style of this look gives my the urge to buy similar pieces. The Pink Pants was inspired from H&M Men's Collection. Its really attractive to the eyes and its really nice.

Summer Blues

This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but since I was lazy to blog, I decided to hit my bed and  relax. Today, I'll be out for a Birthday party and a Wedding; and since tomorrow we will be having our midterms, maybe i'll be away for a week to burn some eyebrows and cram myself with tons of pages to read.

Moving on, the Summer Blues are my ultimate collection for Summer and Spring 2012. I love the color of blue and its really eye-popping and its vibrant to see. This is one of the most common colors we usually use, but its really cool and fresh, especially for a hot summer and spring. The challenge here is to mix and match them with the right combination because like bright colors, they are really bold.

I would probably say that among all my clothes, blue is the more dominant. Its really refreshing because it resembles ocean colors and its relaxing. The richness of the colors can be paired with white just to tame the boldness, or you could do color blocking and use other contrasting colors that would go along with blue like yellow or orange.

Wear the clothes, do not let the clothes wear you.

Brights

This is the second to the last trendsetter for 2012 Summer and Spring Collection, and I intentionally reserved these last two trendsetters to be featured last because they are my two favorites among the other trendsetters.

"Moving forward from the very masculine blue, other brights lit up the catwalks in Milan/Paris. Parrot greens, oranges and highlighter yellow contrasted with warm hues of berry. The trend is easy to wear: interpret it with knitwear or even leather, while for the more daring a few tailored suits in bright fluo pink colour made an appearance on the ss12 catwalks." - Swide

We often see men use monochromatic or those colors that men usually use, like red, green and black. These are the basics of men in Philippine setting, which we can't blame them if they don't venture into crazy colors, styles or trends. During the past, pink is unlikely being worn by men and they actually make fun of those people who wear them, because it somehow gives the impression of being gay. But, these color has been accustomed already to us and we actually see a lot of men use these colors nowadays. Hence, it actually makes them young, fresh and fun to look at.

This year, bright colors are hitting the runway and they are steaming hot to see. The are refreshing and fun to see as they walk down the runway, from different shades of yellow, orange, magenta and parrot green. Its really interesting because the colors are very crazy and bold. Though its hard to wear this getup because it requires men the right confidence and attitude to ace this style. 

I would probably say that this is the best summer and spring style for men, since its really fun and playful. You will surely feel fresh and relaxed with this clothes.

Checks

Here is one of the classic that never dies. :) They never fail to impress us, may it be for formal or casual getup. Checks or what we commonly call them as Checkered, nowadays come in different shades, from monochromatic and bright ones. This another way to have a stylish and fashionable summer and spring, you pair it with white pants then an undershirt then hit the beach; then for night out pair it with blazer then party all night long. This classic look is easy to mix and match. Hence, if you are a person who is also on the go and tend to have less time to think what to wear, you can always resort to this and it will not surely fail you!

What I love for Checks is that they come in different colors, and I am eyeing for those bright one because it is young and fresh. they are really good for Summer and Spring.

Soft Tailoring

This is one of my Favorites for SS12. :) The idea of incorporating the basic tailoring and the use of a soft fabrics instead of the traditional and accustomed ones is a smart way to keep this collection fashion forward and up-to-date. We all know that Formal wears are usually heavy and thick so as to emphasize, of course, our body frame and to bring the masculinity within us. But here's the good news, we can actually embrace and use formal wear for spring and summer this 2012. No need to feel awkward or uncomfortable, the innovativeness of which to use light linens such as jerseys and alike  keeps it to have a more casual look. We also don't need to be conscious about how the coat look or it is crumpled, but instead feel relaxed and be laid back, this soft tailoring are soft and comfortable even for a day full of loaded work.

Short Proportions

The Short Proportions gives the style fashion forward and bold feel. The styling through time has transformed into a more creative and sensible one. the shorter and sleeker the better, it really give emphasize to your assets. They even say "If you got it; flaunt it!"

The transformation of this styles improves the lifestyle of one man and from this, changes one man into a better individual that embraces the life of fashion and styles. We no longer want those baggy and over-sized clothes pieces, instead we innovate them to shorter proportions and slimmer variety.

The Summer ad Spring collection has embraced sportswear into a new innovation and perspective in the dynamic world of fashion. The evolution of sportswear from its cuts, proportions and color with the vital insertion of technology. 

Today's Fashion  is the combination of tradition and technology. What fashion can cater in this world is the evolution of which that develops trough time. The traditional fashion pieces are so contemporary and what best way to keep it on trending is to enhance it and evolve from its sensible pieces into a more fashion forward and more innovative inspiration. Its all about embracing fashion with elegance and sophistication without making it very cheap and low-class.

Fashion is not all about wearing those branded clothes or those pricey tags. Designers says "It is not about showing off." Let's have a happy and fun summer ahead of us without making our pockets cry.
